Movies, popcorn and a whole lot of fun is the best way to describe the 2015 Singtel Touching Lives Fund (STLF) event, a yearly affair that sees special needs children from the adopted charities of STLF coming together with their parents, teachers and volunteers for a movie, great food and a good time.
This year, enjoying cartoon characters’ madcap adventures on the big screen were 120 children from five special schools and programmes supported by Community Chest: APSN Chaoyang School, APSN Tanglin School, Cerebral Palsy Alliance Singapore School, Eden School and MINDS Lee Kong Chian Gardens School.
Past year’s movies include ‘Hotel Transylvania’ and ‘Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2’.
Singtel's Touching Lives Fund (STLF) has raised more than $20 million for NCSS since its inception in 2002. Even before that, Singtel has matched the monthly contributions made by its employees to Community Chest, and has in many ways come alongside over the years to engage and help the community.
Singtel makes contributions to the costs of vital education for children and youth with special needs under the five special schools and programmes supported by Community Chest via the STLF.
