Early Intervention

An Early Intervention Teacher works with infants and children below the age of 7 with special needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well as physical, sensory, intellectual or multiple disabilities. As an Early Intervention Teacher, you’ll help children in need to develop and maximise their full potential.

Early Intervention Teacher (Trained) • Fully trained by going through the Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs)

• Employers will send untrained teachers to the course to become qualified as a trained teacher.
Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) SkillsFuture Earn and Learn Programme – Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) who are for Singaporeans and PRs who are within three years of either graduation from polytechnics.
Early Intervention Teacher (Untrained) • Diploma
 
 
• Temasek Polytechnic’s Diploma in Early Childhood Studies
 
• Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Diploma in Child Psychology & Early Education

• Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s Diploma in Early Childhood Education
 
Early Intervention Teacher Assistant • Local Diploma or: 

• Two 'A'/H2 Level passes and two 'AO'/H1 Level passes (including General Paper or KI) or:

• An international Baccalaureate Diploma
