For the first time, the Summit spanned over two days with a series of specially curated workshops in the second day. The two workshop tracks explored real-life considerations and challenges faced in the social service sector, with the goal of scaling capacities and building effective and impactful social purpose entities.
In ‘In the Shoes of a Programme Head,’ participants were able to better appreciate the end-to-end process of programme/service management; from conducting needs analysis to social landscape mapping, to exploring augmentation with interactive technology and to better evaluate service impact.

In ‘In the Shoes of an Organisation Lead,’ participants acquired a better understanding of the bigger picture and how organisational health can translate to social impact. Topics included empowerment of staff and volunteers, as well as philantropreneur and social enterprise models for improved financial sustainability in the sector.

Having had a keen interest in purpose-driven communication and community engagement in doing good, Esther Lee’s first foray into the sector began at the Industrial & Services Co-Operative Society (ISCOS) with the Communications and External Relations team. As part of her professional development, she went on to pursue a Masters in Mass Communication (NTU) and is currently working at NCSS. Esther now works with the Research Strategy and Engagement team to disseminate key research findings and translate their applications to service user and sector needs. |

Joseph Goh started his career in 2014 at the Ministry of Social and Family Development, working with children and families as a Child Protection Officer, before moving on to look at data and digitalisation. He graduated with Master of Social Sciences (Social Work) from the National University of Singapore in 2021 and has worked as a researcher at NCSS for the past two years. As part of the Research Strategy and Engagement team, he works on research capability initiatives for the sector such as the NCSS Ethics Review Committee and interactive dashboards. |

Nur Fadhli Prayitno is the Assistant Director of Community Social Work Service in SHINE Children & Youth Services. A registered social worker and youth work supervisor, Fadhli specializes in children's work, youth work, group work, juvenile delinquency, school social work and community social work. Fadhli led the Spooner Road Project in 2016, with the provision of children and youth services to families living in rental flats. Following his directorship in Community Social Work services, he piloted the Collective Impact initiative in 2018, to tackle issues related to social mobility of Children & Youth from the rental flat communities. Fadhli also contributed as a Brain Trust member for NVPC’s LIFE Colabs. |

Cheryl Ong is a Senior Social Worker of Community Social Work Service in SHINE Children & Youth Services and leads the Collective Impact projects at Spooner Road and Bukit Merah, focusing on improving social mobility of children and youth living in the rental flat communities. In the past years, much of Cheryl’s work has focused on the implementation of whole-school systemic approaches and development of community-based projects in the children and youth service field. She has scaled preteens programmes and started an all-girls skills development and gig employment programme with a network of sponsors, employers and trainers. She has also led the Client Response Team of SHINE during the Covid Pandemic, working with multiple stakeholders across sectors to address the immediate needs of beneficiaries. |

Having had a keen interest in purpose-driven communication and community engagement in doing good, Anna Djong has over 20 years of experience in managing and implementing complex innovative technologies and productivity solutions in the private sector and in NCSS. In NCSS, she has been an advocate to increase the adoption of technology and innovation for Social Service Agencies (SSAs) implementing over 150 projects in SSAs from digital payments, robotics and automation to centre management and operating systems. These projects have increased productivity by over 30% in the SSA's centres and homes. Anna has also collaborated with other technology and sector leaders such as IMDA, SG Enable and AIC. |

Lee Su Min comes with more than 20 years of extensive experiences in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), telecommunications, retail electronics industries, and the social sector. She is part of the team at Capelle Consulting, that has partnered over 65 SSAs in their transformation journey, including supporting IT implementation through Back-to-Basics, Digital Implementation Coaching and the Community Capability Trust (CCT). Leveraging on her strong analytical and agile problem-solving skills, Su Min has helped organisations redesign business processes to improve their productivity and efficiency. She also partners leaders to manage change journeys to ensure successful implementation of recommended solutions. |

Ting Siew Lee is in the programme management team of the CCT for Capelle Consulting, which is a grant by NCSS to support digitalisation of the social services. This is a multi-year programme involving multiple consultancy projects and stakeholders. She also supports the diagnosis of needs and conceptualisation of integrated solutions for the healthcare sector. She is the co-founder of a non-profit organisation in Timor-Leste that provides preschool education, leadership and youth programmes to the next generation of Timorese. |

Having had a keen interest in purpose-driven communication and community engagement in doing good, Dr Sum Min Yi’s current role in the NCSS Sector Research and Evaluation team includes analysing and evaluating programme outcomes to contribute to developing and implementing sector and programme-level evaluation. Having a passion for mental health awareness, her research interests include mental health stigma and the quality of life of both individuals with mental health conditions and the general population. Her exposure to patients with psychotic disorders while working as a research officer in the Institute of Mental Health and pursuing her PhD in the University of Hong Kong has heightened her awareness to the experiences of these individuals. She has also authored and co-authored multiple peer-reviewed publications on the topics of stigma and quality of life of both patients with psychotic disorders and the general population. |

Erwin has a PhD in biomedical research and is interested in seeing systemic transformations in healthcare. During his post-graduate days, Erwin led medical and dental teams to Cambodia and facilitated social innovation projects in Indonesia and Australia. In 2012, Erwin co-founded a medical device startup that focused on developing solutions for chronic pain management. After failing, he became interested in understanding how the entrepreneurial experience can enrich the personal leadership journey. Erwin was part of the team that won first place at the MITx Entrepreneurship Bootcamp in 2016. He is a Certified Instructor for “Disciplined Entrepreneurship” for new venture creation.
