Technical Advisory

What is Technical Advisory? 

Technical Advisory aims to provide fully funded pre-implementation diagnosis and advisory on technology relevant to the agency. After assessing the needs of your agency, the pre-appointed consultant may provide the following services:

  • Analyse existing IT funding applications, cybersecurity, hardware and/or infrastructure to identify areas of improvement
  • Recommendation on modules under Project Consultancy, from the 2 tracks of Digital Implementation Consultancy or Digital Strategy Planning

 

Who is eligible for Technical Advisory?

Registered/Exempt Charity and Institution of a Public Character (IPC) from Arts and Heritage, Community, Education, Health, Sports and Others sectors*

* Excludes charities from religious sector and those who are NCSS members who are assessed to:

 

Require diagnosis and advisory on technology adoption, or plan to implement:

  1. Single IT solution that may potentially impact other existing systems or IT infrastructure, or
  2. Multiple IT solutions that require integration and optimisation.

 

What is the funding coverage?

Technical Advisory is fully funded (limited to 1 slot per charity). Upon completion of the technical advisory, the consultant will provide proof of deliverables for Charities to sign for concurrence. There is no payment required from the Charities.

What is the application process?

Step 1: Apply here from now till 31 December 2024.

  • Indicate your preferred consultant in the form.
  • NCSS will allocate the preferred consultant, or another consultant based on available capacity.
  • Priority will be given to charities implementing multiple solutions requiring integration.

Step 2: Application outcome will be communicated within 6-8 weeks.

Step 3: Once your application is approved, the consultant will contact you to begin the technical advisory.

Step 4: Once the technical advisory is completed, the consultant will obtain a signed acknowledgement from your agency and bill the full amount directly to NCSS.

Project Consultancy


What is Project Consultancy?

  • Project Consultancy aims to support eligible charities in planning and implementing any IT project, through three consultancy tracks: Digital Implementation Consultancy (DIC), Digital Strategy Planning (DSP) and Starter Pack.
  • Starter Pack aims to provide guided support through your charity's digitalisation journey with specially selected modules from DIC and DSP.
  • The consultancy will be provided in individual modules per IT project according to charities’ needs and budgets.
  • Charities can choose from pre-appointed consultants - ThunderQuote or Design Sojourn

 

What modules can my agency apply for?

Who is eligible?

Registered/ Exempt Charity and Institution of a Public Character (IPC) from Arts and Heritage, Community, Education, Health, Sports and Others sectors*

* Excludes charities from religious sector and those who are NCSS members who have met the following eligibility criteria:

1. Charity should ensure project ownership and has identified a project lead and needed resources to work with the consultant.

2. If your charity is applying for Digital Implementation Consultancy, you are

  • Implementing an IT solution,
  • Have a dedicated funding source to support the IT project implementation, and
  • Able to complete the project implementation within one year, or need the consultancy for only one year.

3. If your charity is applying for Digital Strategy Planning, you are

  • Planning to embark on a digital transformation project within the organisation in the mid to long term.

How to apply for Project Consultancy?

Step 1: Apply here from now till 31 December 2024.

  • Indicate your preferred consultant in the form.
  • NCSS will allocate the preferred consultant, or another consultant based on available capacity.

Step 2: Application outcome will be communicated within 6-8 weeks.

Step 3: Once your application is approved, the consultant will contact you to begin the consultancy service.

How does payment and disbursement work?

At the end of the consultancy service, the consultant will provide proof of consultancy deliverables to you and obtain your charity’s concurrence of completion. The consultant will bill NCSS for the funding amount and bill charity for the co-pay amount only.
