Dr Goh Soon Noi

Soon Noi has worked in the acute, sub-acute, rehabilitation and mental health settings. As a HOD, her work also includes direct clinical practice, supervising and mentoring social workers, education and research.
Soon Noi holds appointments in committees at SingHealth cluster level, in professional body, social service agencies, at Ministry of Health and Ministry of Social and Family Development, as well as at international level - the Steering Committee of the International Network of Social Work in Health and Mental Health.
As an educator, Soon Noi hopes to spend the next decade to develop indigenous literature on social work practice in Singapore. She is the co-editor of a recent publication entitled "Medical Social Work: Context and Practice". As a clinician, Soon Noi is giving attention on knowledge building and skill development on empowering elderly to make decisions, assessing mental capacity and risks of vulnerability as well as adult children mediation work.
She is actively involved in research that will inform on social work practice, encourage and develop practitioners to do research and help to promote Singapore social workers and social services internationally.
