A lawyer by training and profession, with more than 10 years in the social service, community and healthcare sectors, Tim Oei took the helm of the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) in August 2017.
With a strong passion to support the underprivileged, Tim has devoted himself to making a difference through care transformation in the renal landscape. He advocates for holistic care of kidney patients by connecting NKF care services with other community care services to achieve a seamless and integrated approach to deliver the best clinical outcome for kidney patients, with the objective to rehabilitate and reintegrate kidney patients back into the society to lead fulfilling and purposeful lives.
With the alarming rise in cases of renal failure, Tim firmly believes that education and prevention, with the aim to engage, enable and empower communities to make positive changes in their lives, can enable a better tomorrow and a future that is free of kidney disease.
Tim is a Board member with Caregiver Alliance as well as a member of its Programmes and Services Committee. He is also leading AIC’s Community Care Manpower Committee as its Chairman. Currently Tim also serves on the Merdeka Generation Package Communication & Engagement Taskforce, the Steering Committee of the Lim Choon Guan Endowment Fund and the Toteboard Overseas Scholarship Evaluation Panel.
He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the National University of Singapore and a Master of Business Administration in Legal Practice from Nottingham Trent University.
