Improving the quality of life of seniors

With a calling in palliative care, Grace is dedicated to improve the quality of life of seniors in Singapore, especially those with special needs. She brings with her 25 year of experience in direct patient care, and setting up and evaluation of rehabilitation programmes in nursing homes, day care centres and hospices. Grace is a Senior Principal Occupational Therapist with Dover Park Hospice and an associate trainer with Academy of Human Development and the Social Service Institute (SSI). She received the Adult Educators’ Award from SSI in 2014.

Grace has conducted research in eldercare and palliative care, such as the quality of life of elderly in nursing homes and the roles of OT in Palliative Care. She is also passionate about sharing her knowledge and expertise through training and mentorship of the younger professionals.  Grace holds a 1st Class Honours degree in Occupational Therapy and a Master in Gerontology from the University of Sydney.
