Manpower is an important resource we need to carry out our work effectively for our beneficiaries. Growing and developing people is essential in our dynamic landscape. Professionals who are competent and efficient, coupled with qualities such as compassion,
empathy and resilience, would provide the relevant help our beneficiaries need.
Through the Social Service Institute (SSI), our focal point for an integrated social service learning hub for training, practice, resource and career services for the sector, we provide initiatives and schemes, careers services, training programmes, and leadership programmes. These help build manpower capability in the areas of governance and management in the social service sector, and enable social service professionals to upgrade their skills and advance their career.
NCSS has several initiatives and schemes in place to provide more resources to improve and enhance the quality of the professionals in social service.
Good leadership and capable staff are critical for social service agencies to deliver effective services. We have different development programmes to attract, retain and grow existing and future leaders to drive the social service sector.
