Professional Conversion Programme for Social Workers – Interested Agencies
The Professional Conversion Programme for Social Workers (PCP SW) is an annual place-and-train programme for
mid-career individuals to acquire knowledge and skills needed to become qualified Social Workers. Through this programme, trainees will be bonded to the social service agencies (SSAs), supporting participating SSAs’ manpower needs.Participating Agencies are eligible for Salary Support funding up to 90% for new entrants during training period:

|Funding by WSG||70% of actual monthly salary x 18 (Grad Diploma) or 24 months (Accelerated Bachelor) capped at $4,000 per month with an overall
cap of $50,000||90% of actual monthly salary x 18 (Grad Diploma) or 24 months (Accelerated Bachelor) capped at $6,000 per month with an overall
cap of $75,000|
Employers’ Obligations and Responsibilities:
To participate, host organisations are to employ applicants who are new entrants to the sector (i.e. individuals who are not working the social service sector or have not been working in the sector for more than 6 months by July 2021).
