Career Conversion Programme for Social Workers

Get ready to embark on a life-changing journey as a social worker.

If you’re thinking of making a career switch and becoming a social worker, then the Career Conversion Programme for Social Workers (CCPSW) is a great place to start.

Featuring a ‘place-and-train’ format, the CCPSW (previously known as PCPSW) was launched in partnership with the Workforce Singapore (WSG), Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) and participating employers. Managed by NCSS, it aims to train aspiring social service professionals, particularly mid-career professionals, and equip them with the knowledge and skills to become a qualified social worker.

To be eligible for the programme, you first need to secure employment with participating employers of the programme. This way, you can complement your studies with real-world experience through practicum sessions, enabling you to transform into a fully competent and effective social worker upon your graduation.

Depending on your educational qualifications, you can choose from the following SUSS part-time courses:

  • Graduate Diploma in Social Work
  • Accelerated Bachelor of Social Work
