Karthik is the Chief Executive Officer of AWWA, a social service agency that serves over 16,000 persons across different life-stages yearly. Karthik joined AWWA as an Occupational Therapist in 2007 and led the Disability and Inclusion arm in AWWA to serve the needs of persons with disabilities through a continuum of services.
 
Karthik was involved in the setting up of the Allied Health Professional Group – a therapy hub that serves over 9,000 persons a year through an integration of services by AWWA, and other agencies in social service and healthcare sectors.  As CEO, Karthik was instrumental in creating AWWA’s four key strategic thrusts in partnership with  its Board to achieve its mission of empowering the disadvantaged.
 
Karthik was a member of the 3rd Enabling Masterplan Steering Committee. For his contributions to the sector, NCSS first awarded him the Social Service Fellowship by  in 2016. Karthik is currently an active member of various workgroups and committees including:

Karthik holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, and a Master of Science in Fitness, Exercise Rehabilitation and Nutrition Care.
