Ms Nur Hilyah Bte Saparin

Hilyah brings with her 18 years of social work experience working with vulnerable families and had played a key role in developing family service centre services in Sengkang and Punggol. She currently heads the specialist division of AMKFSC Community Services that focuses on trauma-informed practice for children and families. 

Prior to this, Hilyah also developed services in Student Care Centres, NEXUS Reintegration Service and the Psychological Unit.

She is passionate about coaching and training social workers. She places great importance in cultural issues in social work practice. Hilyah co-authored an article “Malay Muslim Worldviews: Some Thoughts for Social Work Practice in Singapore”, in the Journal of Religion and Spirituality in Social Work.

Hilyah holds a Master of Social Science (Social Work) degree from National University of Singapore.
