For mid-career professionals

If you are thinking of making a career switch and becoming a social worker, then the Professional Conversion Programme for Social Workers (PCPSW) is a great place to start.

Featuring a ‘place-and-train’ format, the PCPSW was launched in partnership with the Workforce Singapore (WSG), SIM University (UniSIM) and participating employers. Managed by NCSS, it aims to train interested individuals, particularly mid-career professionals, and equip them with the knowledge and skills to become a qualified social worker.

In order to be eligible for the programme, you need to secure employment with participating employers of the programme first. You can complement your studies with real-world experience through practicum sessions in this way, enabling you to transform into a fully competent and effective social worker upon your graduation.

Depending on your educational qualifications, you can choose from the following part-time courses:
  • Graduate Diploma in Social Work
  • Accelerated Bachelor of Social Work
