More Than Volunteers: Partners in Impact
16 June 2026
Many companies treat volunteering as a once-off event — worthwhile, but fleeting. Micron Technology and CampusImpact take a different approach, aiming to make meaningful impact by showing up consistently.
This partnership is part of Project V, co-led by NCSS and NVPC, which demonstrates how corporates can provide long-term volunteers to serve at social service agencies.

A Programme Built Around the Children
Each month, Micron volunteers join CampusImpact's Study Buddy after-school programme for Play Day, helping children with homework and activities that build self-esteem, emotional regulation, prosocial behaviours and resilience.
Over time, children who were engaged grew in confidence. Those who struggled in group settings began taking the lead. For volunteers, returning to familiar faces each month turned a corporate commitment into something more personal.

What Showing Up Looks Like
Every session brought its own meaningful moments, from shared laughter to the small interactions that grew into genuine connections. It was a privilege for Micron’s volunteers to witness the child’s growth.— Ms Sok Ling Teng, Employee, Micron Technology
Micron volunteers created an enriching experience for our children, sparking creativity and teamwork — a fun, engaging space that built confidence and nurtured a love for innovation.— Mr Ng Jian Xiong, Programme Executive, CampusImpact
I am thankful to Micron volunteers because they are very friendly towards me and my CampusImpact friends. They also help us learn new things and engage us in fun activities!— Raqeeb, Service User, CampusImpact
In 2025, 59 Micron volunteers contributed over 260 hours of their time, supporting 156 service users. Looking ahead, Micron plans to introduce STEM-based activities to CampusImpact, drawing on its engineering expertise to spark curiosity and digital literacy among the children.
