DBS Bank
16 June 2026
Since 1990 when it first began participating in SHARE, the Community Chest’s regular giving programme, DBS Bank has been a consistent supporter of Singapore's social service sector.
Over the years, its giving has evolved from one-off donations into something more deliberate - weaving philanthropy into how the bank operates.
Embedding Giving into Everyday Actions
DBS makes it easy for employees to give regularly. Through SHARE, the bank provides a $2 match for every employee donation. Since 2023, new hires are enrolled in the monthly giving scheme, starting from $1. Customers can also give through DBS PayLah! and campaigns like the POSB Charity Drive, to make giving a natural part of everyday transactions.
Scaling Impact Through Strategic Partnerships

Through DBS Foundation, the bank has channelled significant funding via Community Chest to co-create and deliver targeted, multi-year community programmes with national partners, including KidSTART Singapore, the Infocomm Media Development Authority, and ComLink+.
DBS employees have also stepped up to contribute their time and expertise to support these programmes, such as by helming digital literacy workshops for seniors, befriending ComLink+ families, and more.

Mobilising People for Purpose
Through DBS People of Purpose, the bank’s employee volunteerism movement, DBS employees across Asia have collectively logged over one million volunteering hours since 2014. In 2024, the bank committed to another 1.5 million hours, alongside up to SGD 1 billion, over the next decade to improve lives of those in need.
