Well-being Initiatives
Social service agencies (SSAs) can organise initiatives to enhance the well-being of their protection practitioners.

Overview
SSA can tap on the Protection Practitioners Care Fund (Care Fund) to organise initiatives that enhance the well-being of their protection practitioners. Agencies will be supported with up to $15,000 per centre each year.
Eligibility & criteria
To apply for the participate in the Well-being initiatives, SSAs must meet the following criteria:
Applicant eligibility: The SSA must be MSF-funded and provide services supporting the safety and well-being of individuals and families affected by domestic violence, including intake, triage, and case management services.
Supported Initiatives: The well-being initiatives include, but not limited to, the following uses:
Mental health and stress management, e.g. mindfulness and meditation workshops, therapy (art, music, creative expression), counselling, reflective practice sessions, trauma-informed care
Coaching and mentorship
Physical wellness, e.g. wellness checks, team activities
Retreat programmes
Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
Any other well-being initiatives endorsed by Head of Agency
How to apply
SSAs will be able to apply for the Care Fund via the OurSG portal from 1 February 2026 onwards.
SSAs are encouraged to apply for the well-being initiatives once a year per centre/ agency before implementing the initiatives every year.
Please note that incomplete applications will not be processed.
SSAs can only proceed with the well-being initiatives after application outcome is made known and accepted programme addendum via OurSG portal.
While supporting documents are not required when applying, NCSS may perform sample checks on applications. After the activity, SSAs should retain copies of relevant documents (e.g., receipts/invoices, attendee lists for protection practitioners) for up to two years.
Submission timeline
The scheme is open for application throughout year, but processing of the applications is done twice a year.
