Wellness Leave
Social service agencies (SSAs) can provide their eligible practitioners with up to two weeks of wellness leave annually.

Overview
SSAs can tap on the Wellness Leave under the Protection Practitioners Care Fund (Care Fund) to offer their eligible protection practitioners to rejuvenate with up to two weeks of paid leave. To enable SSAs to make arrangements so that their protection practitioners can go on wellness leave, SSAs will be provided with funding support.
Eligibility & criteria
To be eligible for the Wellness Leave, practitioners must meet the following criteria:
Practitioner eligibility: Practitioner (social workers, case workers, social work associates, care staff, and supervisors) with at least two years of protection-related experience in their current MSF-funded SSA that provides services supporting the safety and well-being of individuals and families affected by domestic violence, including intake, triage, and case management services.
Employment status: Practitioner must be employed by the same MSF-funded SSA for two years.
Frequency: Each practitioner will be able to apply for the wellness leave once a year.
