SSAs often face difficulties in identifying a suitable Volunteer Management System (VMS) for their agency and are unclear on how to scope their needs, requirements and optimal use of the system.

The Volunteer Management System - Selection and Implementation Roadmap (VMS-SIR) is a guide for SSAs in their search, selection and implementation of Volunteer Management System (VMS), sharing common trends, gaps and considerations, with the inclusion of resources that can be tapped on towards the adoption of a VMS.

SSAs can start by using the self-assessment template, which will address the difficulties in identifying and optimising the use of a suitable VMS relevant to the SSA's current position. This roadmap aims to increase the adoption, usage and satisfaction rate of this system and optimising the volunteer management capability of an SSA.
