The ‘WHAT’ component of the Sustainable Philanthropy Framework helps leaders discern the specific areas where businesses can make the most impactful efforts. It helps guide businesses to focus their philanthropic efforts on societal issues that resonate with their core values and capabilities, enabling them to contribute purposefully.

Priority areas

The priority areas identified aim to guide businesses to focus their philanthropic efforts on societal issues that resonate with their core values and capabilities, enabling them to contribute effectively and purposefully. The five identified priority areas are:

  • Promoting Equitable Opportunities

  • Empowering through Education, Awareness and Skillsets

  • Enhancing Mental and Physical Well-being

  • Improving Financial Resilience and Self-reliance

  • Facilitating Access to Technology
