At six, a medical condition kept Huda out of school for a year, delaying her entry into Primary 1 and affecting her literacy skills and confidence.

Through MightyKids, Families & Community (MKFC)'s programme, supported by Community Chest, Huda was paired with a volunteer mentor who has built a strong and trusting relationship with her over the past two years. Through consistent literacy guidance, encouragement and emotional support, and even through health relapses, her mentor continued to journey alongside her, helping Huda rebuild her confidence in learning and in herself.

Today, the once-shy girl has blossomed into a confident learner who can express her thoughts and embrace new opportunities alongside her peers. Huda hopes to grow stronger in health, do well in school, and continue thriving alongside them.

With Community Chest's support, Life Community can continue providing children like Huda with the mentorship and encouragement they need to overcome setbacks, build confidence and pursue their hopes for the future.
