Nur Safinah Thufailah Binte Mohammed Samsul

Safinah was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder shortly after her parents noticed her delayed speech and how she avoided playing with other children in pre-school. Naturally, her parents became fearful for her future and worried about whether she would be able to live independently as she grows up.
To help Safinah build independence and achieve her potential, she was enrolled into Eden School, a SPED school supported by Community Chest. With the school’s support, Safinah has begun to thrive. She has learnt to communicate confidently, overcome challenges on her own, and embrace school life with joy.
Once reserved, Safinah now shows her peers warmth and encouragement, building friendships that bring out her caring nature. Beyond the classroom, Eden School has helped Safinah discover her strengths and nurture her aspirations. She dreams of becoming a designer or hair stylist, inspired by the belief that she can use her creativity to make a difference to the lives of others.
