Explore how you can drive an impact for the social service sector.

Overview
The Open Grant funds innovative, collaborative projects that build the social service agency’s capabilities and have the potential to scale and effect sector-wide impact. It also supports initiatives to enhance the agency’s productivity and improve service delivery.
Types of projects
We strongly encourage agencies to discuss their proposals with NCSS before applying for the Open Grant. Reach out to sector_capability@ncss.gov.sg.
Funding criteria for respective projects
Capability-building projects | Co-funding ratio | Funding cap |
---|---|---|
SSA-initiated capability-building projects that do not fit into existing schemes | Up to 80% | $200,000 per SSA per tranche |
SSA collaborations & SSA-initiated sector development projects | Up to 80% | $400,000 per application |
Key Performance Indicators
Meet project outcomes as proposed by the agency and with inputs from NCSS. Examples of key performance indicators may include:
Productivity gain
Increase in capability and effectiveness
Increase in service user satisfaction (including proxies such as shorter waiting time)
How to apply
Apply for the scheme on OurSG Grants (OSG) portal.
Funding disbursement
First 50% upon acceptance of Letter of Acceptance (LOA) through OurSG Grants system and submission of signed vendor/ consultant agreement to NCSS.
Final 50% upon submission of report(s) and claim document(s).
