Associate Professor Razwana Begum Bt Abdul Rahim

Associate Professor Razwana Begum is President of PPIS, where she supports the organisation’s work with women, children and families. She is also Head of the Global Security and Strategy Graduate Programme at the Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), where she led the development of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in public safety and security.
Razwana has more than two decades of experience spanning frontline practice, policy, education and research, including 18 years with the Ministry of Social and Family Development.
She was a Nominated Member of the 14th Parliament of Singapore from 2023 to 2025, contributing to discussions on public safety and security, education, child welfare and women’s empowerment.
Razwana also serves on several community and charitable boards, including MENDAKI. Her areas of expertise include public safety, restorative justice, rehabilitation, ethical leadership and cross-sector collaboration.
